5A Girls Tennis: Provo 2nd Doubles Finishes State Runner-Up

Congratulations to our Provo High 2nd Doubles Team (Brooklyn Petersen and Hailey Wilcox) in finishing 2nd in the 5A State Tournament! They beat Highland first round 6-4, 6-2, Springville second round 6-4, 1-6, 6-3, the Region 6 #1 Seed Highland 6-2, 1-6, 7-6(1) in the semifinals, then lost to Timpview in the final 1-6, 2-6.

Girls Tennis State Tournament Today

Good luck to our two tennis players who will be playing in the state tournament today.  Senior, Ellie Pope, qualified as a 3rd seed in the 1st singles and sophomore, Katie Chambers, qualified as a 1st seed in the 3rd singles.  The tournament will take place today at Liberty Park in Salt Lake City.  Go

Bulldog Highlight: Larissa and Sally Otterstrom – Tennis

Members of the Sports Marketing class at Provo High sat down with Larissa and Sally Otterstrom, two girls on the bulldog tennis team. They discussed their recent season and their experience being on the team. Sally played tennis as a freshman, but the decision to return as a sophomore this year was a difficult one.
